Eviews beginner quesion

I have a series of variables named as, say, aa_chn bb_chn cc_chn dd_chn ...

All of the variable names have the same suffix "_chn",

In Eviews, how can I give all these variables value 0, without specifying
the name of them one by one.

I tried

GENR *_chn = 0

not working.

I know I could use loop, but I have to create a list of aa, bb, cc, etc.

Without doing that, is there any other way to solve these? Because I have
too many variables, I don't want to create a long list.
