The public transportation system is Toronto is excellent
and you can get to downtown location by subway or streetcar
very easily. Most hotels within a few miles of the downtown

area are good. The one I used is a cheapie:
www.grangehotel.com
It is a little surprise to me though as it is quite
primitive
(usually apt hotels are not that bad but this is
substandard).
The downtown Daysinn is good and the price is reasonable.
I will write a very detailed description of the trip
including preparation, transportation, hotel, visa, museums,
attractions
this weekend.
